Exam Prep Programs are developed on an as-needed basis to assist members in preparing for "targeted" civil service promotional and open competitive exams leading to management, computer skills, and other targeted titles. Exams leading to civil service employment are administered and conducted by the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) and the School Construction Authority (SCA).

DCAS and SCA prepare tentative yearly exam schedules. Exams are announced (open for filing) on a monthly basis. Take advantage of City exams. When an exam officially opens for filing, the Education Fund offers prep courses on weekday evenings and on Saturday mornings, supervises the development of course material based on test information, and assists members in completing the Education and Experience Forms.
